We suggest this filter for drip installations with water withdrawals from rivers, little lakes in the hills or retting grounds.
It is put in front of the screen filter.
It is made of a hot galvanized tank, put in a perpendicular position and containing volcanic gravel or fragments of wasch marble, of 1 mm. and 3 mm. size.
The water comes in from the upper part of the filter and it is pushed through the grit which, by means of its acute angles, seizes the slender tissue of the algas or the organic substances. For washing the grit and for expelling algas or other substances, it is necessary to provide the filter with a by-pass.
Two grit filters are frequently used in parallel, so that each filter can be washed by the inverse flow of clean water coming from the other filter.
We can realize design filters with relative collector and supports .
